THEATER OF THE SEA is an educational and entertaining marine animal park where performances are up close and personal and marine animals live in natural salt-water lagoons. We offer several animal interaction programs enabling guests to get up close and personal with our dolphins, sea lions and stingrays. Advance reservations by phone or in person for these programs is highly recommended as they are extremely popular. We cannot accept reservations online or by fax.
The lagoons and lush, tropical gardens at the facility are home to Atlantic bottlenose dolphins, California sea lions, sea turtles, tropical and game fish, sharks, stingrays, crocodiles, alligators, marine invertebrates, parrots, and birds-of-prey.
While some of our animals were collected and others were born here, many are non releasable as a result of imprinting and/or injuries sustained in the wild. The health and well being of the animals takes precedence over all other interests and their care and maintenance is supported by patronage alone.
Theater of the Sea is open 365 days a year. The ticket counter opens at 9:30 a.m. EST daily. |

The Florida Keys History of Diving Museum is a not-for-profit (501c3) educational institution focused on the story of Man’s Quest to Explore Under the Sea.
The Museum is dedicated to collecting, preserving, displaying and interpreting artifacts, antiques, books, documents, photographs and oral history relative to the History of Diving. We tell the international story of man’s attempts to explore, understand and venture under the sea. We also celebrate the special role that South Florida and the Florida Keys played in this untold story.
The Museum’s artifacts have been provided through the generous support of its Founders, Drs. Joe and Sally Bauer, who hold the world’s largest collection of historic diving equipment and research documents. |
